I live on the North Side of Chicago with my best friend and spouse David Paul Downs and our lovable, mischievous pets, Tomato, Peanut, and Butter. I spend my time developing my urban homestead, riding my bike, reading, sewing for my business Pierogi Picnic, volunteering, and growing my elevated veggie garden. When I'm not knee deep in pastries or fabric, I am coordinating volunteers and fosters for The Anti-Cruelty Society. My brother has always called me my family’s token tree-hugger and I delight in discovering new vegetarian restaurants, making eco-crafts, and reading up on the latest green and social initiatives. I am inspired by vibrant colors, fresh designs, and people who dedicate their lives to helping others, animals, and the environment.
